The set up

So to get acquainted with all of you, the names Miles and live in the lower east side of Manhattan. I decided to start this blog during one of my previous buddha sessions. I was having one of my usual deep thoughtful discussions with myself, (I may be a tad crazy) and i was thinking about how the society we live in restricts its people from doing what they truly desire. People can't act the way they please to solely due to the norms, and if someone challenges these norms they are almost always ridiculed. So I wanted to create this blog as a sort of vent for myself and for the people around me. I like to believe that i can recognize when somebody is being restricted of what they are trying to do, so in this blog I'm going to convey their message. This may sound corny or cliche but this blogs purpose is to be the voice of the people. Now people reading this may think that there are numerous magazines and blogs that say they are built and written for and from the people. I wouldn't disagree with that, the only thing i have to say is that this blog is trying to resurrect the original style of New Journalism. A style of writing and reporting that is supposed to be still evident in today's society but I believe the essence has been lost. The writers and Vjs and all these other niggas dont tell us what the artist truly feels. Now I'm not saying I'm going to be interviewing tons of people or speaking to artist or whatever, but I will be jotting down my thoughts on the people that surround me. I think that's enough to say for the set up.
